Ike- o, Ike-o

You brought the water

Showed us how much

Of our wetlands are gone.

Too bad

Politicians can't see

Like the folks

Who had water

In their homes.

Laplace Flooding

Here are some photos of the flooding in Laplace caused by storm surge from Hurricane Ike. Even though southeast Louisiana was spared a direct hit, we experienced a significant storm surge.
